Bad Company

We started the call yesterday by talking Murray Galloway and his buddy, Lonnie Lee Crago.

Galloway was the only man officially charged with Carmen’s murder. From all accounts, he was a man with some mental issues. There are all sorts of articles out there about him. He was in and out of jail the majority of his life.

In fact, when Galloway was accused of the murder, he was in jail with Crago for kidnapping a man. According to the rumor mill, while they were there, Crago started bragging about Carmen’s murder. We’re still not sure what happened after that. The newspaper reports are inaccurate to say the least.

We know that Crago was released from jail. We know that Galloway was charged with Carmen’s murder. And we know that Crago’s suspicious death at the end of 1981 contributed to the case being dropped against Galloway.

Remember the guy I mentioned who got killed by a pump jack? That was Crago. Some say it was suicide, others say it was accidental. At this point, I don’t know what I believe.
