We’ve had lots of little calls here and there, but this is the first “normal” call we’ve had in a while.
Charlie talked about the first time he met Foreman. His pastor from church called and told him that Foreman was coming into town for a revival. Charlie was tasked with picking him up from the airport. Apparently, they got along really well.
We then turned our attention to the record requests I’ve been submitting. I received a file from Odessa Police Department earlier today. I requested a record we thought could be pertinent to the case. It turned out to be another dead end, though. We had to chalk it up as another win for the rumor mill.
We are still waiting for records I’ve requested from Ector County Sheriff’s Office. They don’t seem very cooperative when it comes to releasing information.
Charlie made it clear today that he believes God is using him to bring peace and justice to the Croan family. The story doesn’t seem to be so much about him anymore – and he’s glad. He has wanted Carmen’s case to be reopened from day one, and we believe that God is going to make it happen.
Things are starting to fall into place.
Say a prayer for me,
K. E.
