It’s been a while since we spoke last. Lots of things have been going on, but we haven’t had any official phone calls. We decided that it was time to check in with Carmen’s brother, Marc, again.
We started to talk about how – and when – Carmen left the club that night. Everyone we talk to has a different answer, and it seems that Ector County received just as many conflicting statements back in the day.
One person said that Carmen was drunk and was carried out by two men. She even dropped her glass by the front door before they got her out. By the time the bouncer went outside to check on her, there was no one there. Just a pile of something indicating that someone had recently gotten sick.
Another statement mentions that she left the club with her boyfriend. And yet others talk about how she simply vanished into thin air.
I don’t know if we’ll ever know the truth about how Carmen left the club. From what I’ve gathered from witnesses, it seems like she left twice that night: once to get something out of her car and once to leave for good. Of course, we don’t believe she ever made it to her car the second time.
I believe she was abducted from the parking lot… but that’s just my current opinion. Hopefully, someone out there saw something and will come forward after all of these years.
